Once again it was the Simmental Sired Heifers that topped this special sale with the four Simmental Heifers on offer averaging €2332 which was over €300 above the next heifer type.

Another interesting note was the fact for the same age heifers, the Simmental heifers weighed on average over 44kgs heavier than the next breed.

Considering the fact that all of these heifers will calve down at 24 months of age, this further highlights the suitability of Simmental  heifers for this system.

A proven positive which is not correctly reflected in the replacement index when compared to other breeds.
