On the first weekend of September the South Western Simmental Club hit the road for Northern Ireland. Day one brought us to the Kilbride Farm Herd of the Robson Family in north Co. Antrim, while on day two we visited Joe Wilsons Ballinalare Farm Herd, Co.Down and Brian Boyles Riverstown Herd in Co.Louth, the home of Mount Hawkeye, sold by Joe & James Kelly at last Novembers Roscommon Premier Sale . The quality of cattle seen was excellent and the hospitality we received was second to none. We would like to thank each of our hosts for giving so generously of their time to show us their herds. A great weekend was had by all, with our next club trip already in the planning stages.
