The British Simmental Cattle Society Young Members Event took place in N. Ireland last weekend.
The Irish Simmental Cattle Society would like to thank the UK Society for including us by kind invitation.
The packed weekend included herd visits, a national stock judging competition for teams and individuals, a visit to NI National Simmental Show at Antrim and delicious barbeques. Many of our young members attended this event which was thoroughly enjoyed by all and many new friendships were made as a result.
We would especially like to thank the Robson Family (Kilbride Farm) for hosting the Young Members Event on the Friday last. We would also like to thank the Master Judge Mr. Iain Green of Corskie Simmentals for his adjudication on friday.
We sincerely thank the Rodgers & Wilson Families for allowing visits to the Hiltonstown & Ballinalare Farm Herds over the course of the weekend.
All farms and Simmental herds visited were a credit to the families involved and testament to their dedication to the Simmental Breed.
Finally, we would like to thank all who exhibited at Antrim Show and to the N. Ireland Club for their hospitality and organising such a well-run event.
We look forward to similar events in the very near future.
